Kristen Schaal (Flight of the Conchords) plays a bored, puppet president with a just a hint of the eccentricity of Mel. Jon Slattery's lovesick service agent lacks the wit and arrogance of Mad Men's Roger Sterling, but both characters have a sense of nostalgic sadness about them.
The clip is beautifully shot and cameos from Matt Berninger and the band only seek to deepen my indie man crush on them. It's no surprise that the script was written by Kristen Schaal - the turkey and presidential g-string scenes are genius. However, it's the dreamy montages and the layered, emotional sounds of Conversation 16 that evoke one of life's most powerful emotions - unrequited love.
