Gig Roll Call: A Tribute to Bob Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited @ The Basement

From the Basement website:"Following on from a string of successful performances playing the man himself in a critically acclaimed play, Matt Ralph and band brings Bob Dylan's early electric era music to The Basement. Playing, in it's entirety, Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited album, Matt Ralph will string together an evening of music & lyrics drawing from other albums such as Blonde on Blonde and Bringing it All Back Home."

This gets me excited! I figure Bobby D's voice ain't what it used to be, so this is probably the closest i'll get to hearing circa '66 versions of "Like a Rolling Stone" or "Ballad of a Thin Man".

The music starts at 8:30pm, but quite keen to sink some beers beforehand and discuss whether Cate Blanchett became more or less attractive after portraying Dylan in 'I'm Not There'. I vote more.

Tickets here.
